Art Around the World Update

I am so excited about the projects that the students have been working on!

Fifth grade is working on tiles inspired from Morocco and they are so beautiful!

Sixth grade is working on winter collagraphs (a form of printmaking) and they learned that this style is popular in Europe and America.  The students are using different textures to come up with a scene of their choice.  So far, they look amazing.

Lastly, second grade is learning about the artist, Ted Harrison, who is from Canada.  Harrison uses bright colors to paint Yukon scenes.  I cannot wait to see the finished results!

Winter Trees

Trees have to be my favorite subject to paint and draw.  I love the way these trees turned out!

Star Student: Samantha Stritzinger

Samantha Stritzinger is a fourth grader with amazing talent!  She is always showing me sketches and paintings.  I had to make her our star student!  Way to go Sam and keep up the art work!!!

Toy Airplanes!

When a student has a really cool idea that they are excited about, I will usually do it as a class project.  I love these toy planes!
