Rainforest Bulletin Boards
Sixth grade learned about the Amazon Rainforest and created toucans and parrots! We learned facts about each bird, as well as the rainforest. I love how these turned out!
Ernesto Neto is a Brazilian artist that used organic shapes to create installations and sculptures. The kids looked at his work and created organic shapes with paint. We learned about tinting (adding white to a color) and shading (adding black to a color). This project took a while to make, but it was worth the work!

Romero Britto Projects
Romero Britto is a Brazilian pop artist that created bright, colorful pieces! I absolutely love this artist and I think the kids enjoyed re-creating his style!

Greek Pots (Done Last Year)
Beautiful Greek vessels done by sixth grade! We talked about the different types of Greek columns (Doric, Ionic, and Corinthian) and looked at different types of vases. We used wax paper and gold/silver paint. They turned out so nice!
